OWNER, CREATIVE DIRECTOR & DESIGNER

For more than 24 years, Cody Beal has been helping clients reimagine their environments. His intuitive perspective and inherent understanding of a home’s needs are the result of years of experience that can be traced back even further. Much of Cody’s childhood was spent working alongside his father, a general contractor, as he built homes from the ground up. This early exposure informed his functionality-first mindset and gave him fluency in the language of builders and trades. Eventually, Cody pursued a formal education in design with a degree from Utah State University in Interior Design and Art History. In addition to their work in their local communities of Salt Lake City and Park City, Cody and his team have completed work in cities across the country and have been featured in numerous publications.

CODY'S HISTORY

Cody Beal grew up in Midway, Utah in a creative family “with a hammer in his hand.” The son of a general contractor and great great great grandson of an English architect, he learned the art of building and aesthetics early on.

The first in his family to graduate from college, Cody had a strong desire to succeed. But architecture didn’t speak to him. Instead, he was interested in the interior design process; a process that he says brings together all aspects of creating meaningful spaces—form, function, construction and art.

Cody started in the design business in 1998 with a commercial firm and then moved to San Diego, California to work for a firm that designed model homes across the nation. Wanting to return home to Utah to be closer to his family, he then took a job with another firm in the local area until he was ready to break out on his own.

Cody’s perseverance and attention to detail are the cornerstones upon which the firm is built. He says that he is not afraid of rejection and will change gears when needed. “If something isn’t working, I won’t hesitate to stop, refocus, evaluate and move forward—I will turn every stone over twice to get it right!”

OUR GOAL

LOVE YOUR SPACE AND ELEVATE YOUR QUALITY OF LIFE

Cody Beal Interior Design aims to help people. Cody believes that when people love their spaces, they are happier and treat others better. He is convinced that quality of life can be improved through beauty and art, in how people live, where they live, where they work. All these factors heighten the senses and can contribute to a happier, more fulfilled life.

Our Goal

OUR PROCESS

BRING JOY AND MEANING TO YOUR HOME OR OFFICE

The Cody Beal team combines beauty and function to create magical experiences that our clients can enjoy every day. We work closely with our clients, to learn how they live and what they want their spaces to do, in order to discover new opportunities. No two projects are ever alike. There is no preset design template or way of doing things. Our team listens to our clients’ needs and develops design ideas from them.

Once we know what each client is looking for, we will walk through that client’s space and get to know it before developing our design. We approach the design phase with an open mindset so we can create something that is unique and beautiful to each client, incorporating our strong, experienced, passionate opinions about how to make the client’s vision come to life…to make the magic happen!

DEFINING
DIFFERENCE

What makes Cody Beal Interior Design different from the others?

First and foremost is HEART. We put our hearts and souls into every project, aiming to bring originality to each living space we design. We use original art, real rugs and things that are of value that will add to your life—not just decorative things that hold space.

We believe in “Quality over Quantity.” We want our clients to invest in things that will bring them joy for years and years; things that will elevate their lives by bringing beauty and function together. These things may cost more up front but will be worth the investment over time.

We also have the advantage of understanding construction, engineering and architecture along with our design vision. We understand what’s behind the sheetrock and use that knowledge to maximize function.

Finally, we’ve been told that we have a “sixth sense” of how people live in their spaces and an innate ability to create the perfect spaces for them.

Defining Difference
How We Roll

HOW WE ROLL

The Cody Beal Interior Design Credo

1. We do this because WE LOVE IT!

Our business is built on love—we love what we do, and we do what we love! We are a team of dreamers and doers. We are creative, playful, and deeply invested in our art.

2. We hold an unshakable belief in POSSIBILITY.

For every challenge, there is a solution. We hold firm that with passion and focus, we can make just about anything come to reality.

3. We are here to CHANGE THE WORLD—one step at a time.

Our philosophy is that every act of giving counts, no matter how big or small. We help those in need by donating our time, our talents, and our treasures (a portion of our revenue) to make a difference in our community and the world at large.

4. We’re obsessed with the “F” WORD!

We apply the “F” word—FINE—to everything we do. We don’t do mediocre—we use the finest materials, the finest techniques, and get the finest results. We give 120% and then some, going above and beyond for each and every project. We aim to exceed your expectations and ours!

5.TRUST means everything to us.

We believe in building relationships with our customers and our relationships are built on trust. We say what we mean, and we mean what we say. We are open and honest with our customers and each other, and when mistakes happen (which they sometimes do), we take responsibility and work our tails off to make things right.

6. We HAVE YOUR BACK!

Everything we recommend is because we truly, genuinely believe in it. We will never deliberately steer you wrong.

7. We VALUE your business and will BEND OVER BACKWARD to serve you.

Our customers are the reason we exist. Sure, we’re about design and creativity and all that. But that’s not all. We want you to feel valued, respected, and appreciated—because you are! We will go above and beyond to make you happy, whether that means responding to your emails quickly or creating your dream space (or both). You’re not just a customer, you are a partner that helps us create meaningful change in this world and we will treat you like one of the family.

8. We believe in KINDNESS—No Meanies Allowed!

We have a KIND PEOPLE ONLY policy. Mean-spirited, ignorant, and dishonest people are not welcome here. We will not tolerate hate in any form, including ageism, racism, sexism, or any other “ism” that’s born of bigotry and hate.

9. We are NOT FOR EVERYONE.

We may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but rest assured that for those who choose to do business with us, we will work our tails off for you. We may not always take ourselves seriously, but we ALWAYS take our work seriously.

10. We have FUN doing what we do.

We live by our company mantra: “If it ain’t fun, it won’t get done.” Bottom line: we love what we do, and we have fun doing it!
